Wow boys and girls am I really pissed
off today, so hold on to your hats and be ready to not be offended.
I need to start out by saying that this article will be about
racism, so if that is touchy to you I would stop reading now,
but if you would like to see a different view and have the possibility
of maybe having to think; keep reading.
Lets start out with a blatant fact,
equality is what the goal of the "race leaders" of this
country are after. Equal jobs, equal pay, equal treatment, these
are the banners of the protesters. Well here is where I come in,
my friends. I (as stated before) am a 20 something year old white
male, and I don't even begin to say that I understand the plight
of any "minority" race out there. To most of them they
see me as peaches and cream, everything handed to me on a silver
plate, well I am here to tell all of those disillusioned fools
out there that they have no clue about reality.
In high school I took the same classes
as everyone else, and was average like everyone else. I worked
for my grades, as did all of the other students in the school.
Growing up I had many run ins with all of the faces of racism.
The KKK tried to recruit me (stupid them, I'm Polish). Three African
American gentlemen tried to mug me when I was 19, was that because
of their color, or were they just bad people? I met the bad and
good of all races, and had friends of all colors and creeds. Was
there any difference to me what race or religion they were? NO.
I went through my years pretty content
with my views on equality, till one fatal day. I was out of work
( an occupational consistency in my line of work) when I went
to a large company that had an add in the paper for exactly what
I am trained to do. I entered and the secretary guided me to the
man in charge of hiring. He took my resume and read it over. At
this point he looked at me and said that they did there hiring
through a local union. I knew they did and that is why it kind
of surprised me to see an add in the paper for them. I asked about
the add, to this his shoulders shrugged a little with disappointment
and, under his breath, he said; " I would hire you right
know but your not the right sex or color, I am really sorry but
the add is to try and fill our hiring quota." It wasn't his
fault, and it did torque me, but what was I supposed to do his
hands were tied, all he did was tell me the truth.
I put it to you America are we creating
more inequality by trying to enforce equality. Is it fare to a
company (or a me for that matter) that they have to hire a lesser
qualified employee because they fit a criteria. I am not saying
that "minorities are less skilled (just in case that thought
crossed your mind), I am just stating that in allot of cases this
happens.
I have seen all of the white power
sites, and let me tell you, to hate something just to hate is
pointless and has no place in our society. However in their defense
this is America and the same thing that gives them the right to
hate gives others the right to march, protest, and voice their
opinion (like this site for example). All of the race groups have
there leaders and forums of beliefs. To some groups its self empowerment,
others its heritage, it's just to bad that the white groups forum
is viewed as hate everything (one I didn't have a say in initiating).
In closing (thanks for sticking around
this far, here comes the final ramble), I would like to ask what
month is white pride month? Isn't Eilian (the Cuban boy in Florida,
in case I lost you) still an illegal alien? If he was 16, 18,
20 would they send him home? When can we start an Anglo Saxon
Collage Fund without being chastised? Oh and lord forbid a white
group sings a song using racial terms or content, they are pushed
out of the way and hidden, because "my god you racist bastards"
and yet you can go to any music store and buy a rap album that
talks about killing those white pieces of shit and rising up against
everyone, so you can shoot cops and beat women. Great message
to our youth, isn't it.
Some of you out there are probably
thinking I am a racist. Don't misread me, or judge me. All men
are the same in my eyes until they prove themselves different.
All of those out there that feel they can burn the flag or spit
on my pride for my country can FUCK OFF, because I am not white,
black, brown, or green. I AM AMERICAN, and that color see's all
my friends. So if you want to go back to your homeland, go, I
wont miss you. I would like to leave you all with a saying that
has burned into my heart since the first time I heard it.
When they came for the Jews I didn't
say anything, because I wasn't Jewish.
When they came for the gays I didn't
say anything, because I wasn't gay.
When they came for the blacks I didn't
say anything, because I wasn't black.
When they came for me,
there wasn't anyone left to say anything.
There is racism out there boys and
girls, but don't let it escape you that reverse racism is alive
and well in America. Will we ever see equality? I don't know,
I do hope so, I just hope it doesn't take a war to find it. If
you get anything from this whole soap box sermon of mine, let
it be that, equality starts with you, not a world leader, or anyone
else. Day to day, hour to hour, only you can change and in turn
change another. Use your freedom to be individuals amongst the
crowds America. Isn't that what we're all about?
